Strengths: This printer is very durable and easy to use with fairly reasonable printing speed and high quality prints.
Weakness: its ink is a little costly averaging about 30 cents per print
This printer is very easy to use. Specifically two usb ports make things very easy. I can hook it up to a computer and a camera at the same time. The quality of prints is pretty decent In addition it's very durable, so far I've carried it to many places for instant photo printing and it never gives me any problem. It also has some editing options which means I can do some editing without help of...
Strengths: Easy operation from either the TV, camara, memory card or computer. No more going to the store to print your photos. Paper and ribbon in one package.
Weakness: Size limitation of 4x6 max. Cost a little more than printing at the store. My average cost - 27 cent per print, but the convenience is worth it.
Received my printer today and have already used a pack of paper printing pictures of the new grandbaby. Very easy to use, with multiple ways of printing - from TV, directly from camara, from memory card or from computer. This far out weighs the cost of the paper and ribbon. By the time I drive to the store, wait for my turn at the kiosh, then wait for the 1 hour photo lab to print my photos, I...
Strengths: different card slots, photo quality, easy to use, tv hook up
Weakness: prints only small size, i so wish it prints up to at least 5x6
I would not take much of your time but i will tell you that it's a good product. The picture print quality is really good and it is easy to use and small. I love it and i know you all will except for the fact that it only prints very small sizes. I don't care about the cost of ink and paper because the picture print quality is so worth it
Strengths: Thermal Dye-Sub Printing (no dots, colors don't fade) Waterproof pictures Quicker prints (approx 1 min/print) Much improved over the FP30
Weakness: Blacks still not very sharp
I've printed about 50 prints off this printer so far and have been very pleased. Easy to use right out of the box. For those of you who don't know, each print is actually a post card (the back of the photo has the dividing line and a little box for the stamp) and since each print is waterproof, even better to mail! I tend not to use the TV functions as much since I use the pictbridge function...

Sony DPP-FP50 Thermal Photo Printer
Strengths: Thermal printer, independence from pc (pics can be previewed on a tv w/ a remote), relatively fast, slightly cheaper than some inkjet printers.
Weakness: Limited to 4x6 prints.
I've had this printer now a few days & would recommend it if you're looking for a portable, well-built, versatile photo printer. It reads a variety of memory cards (SD, CF, xD M & H, MSP), & can be hooked up to a tv to preview the pictures. Of course, it can also be hooked up to a pc. Compared to an Epson PictureMate & a Canon Selphy DS810, this is far, far superior to the Epson (which doesn't...
