Now, laser printer becomes smaller and smaller. It is almost as small as usual non-laser printer but it gives higher qulity printing and quick processing speed. HP are good at making high qulity printers

Weakness: On/Off switch hidden on back of unit makes turning unit on and off much more difficult than necessary. Toner cartridge rated at 2000 pages is pricey compared to high-yield HP toner cartridges.
A very fast, affordable laser printer for home or low-volume small office use. Keeping paper in the drop-down paper tray enlarges otherwise small footprint. Even with the toner cartridge rated at a mere 2000 pages, the speed and quality will save both time and money compared to any inkjet. Overall, this unit is a winner.

PRO: Very fast! Very good print quality for price range. sharp text, decent pictures. Fairly powerful printing options as well, nice paper tray cover keeps out dust. CONS: Only a starter toner rated @ 2000 pages which probably means less. Also priced above Samsung and Brother printers, but those give you even skimpier toner and refills are more expensive....

We got this printer for $100 after mail-in rebate when it was on sale at officedepot. At this price, it is one of the cheapeast laserjet printers at this excellent value for money.Strongly recommended.

Weakness: It gives off a smell of toner with each use
This printer works great but I can smell the toner when I use it. I have it on my desk right next to my computer at work. The toner gives a slight but noticeable irritation in the in the nostrils and throat. I can't see the particles of toner in the air but I sure can feel it. Who knows, maybe this is happening just because the printer is new but I don't care, I'm going back to using a network...

I have bought this printer twice, for different residences. It's cheap but of extraordinarily high quality. Very fast prints. And it has a small footprint for economical space usage. Unlike other small HP printers, the paper supply rests horizontally instead of vertically, and I have never had a single jam on this thing. The noise level is a little high, but it sounds cute, like a little R2-D2....

I paid only $180 for this printer before $100 rebate, and it's an HP. It took only minutes to setup the printer and print a test page. The yield of the beginning cartridge was satisfactory. Far fewer paper jams than my Canon Inkjet printer. And I grabbed a replacement cartridge at my local OfficeMax for 50% off before the store was closed. Great in so far!
