Weakness: adapter for parralell port is interesting, a bit inconvienient...but not a real problem
I have only used this printer for a couple of days, but I use it 8 hours a day here at work. I'm very impressed with the speed! Also the amount of paper I can load at one time. Was fairly easy to set up...the adapter for the p.port is interesting never came across this before, not a real problem, just a bit inconvenient. Had an HP1100 before this and had a real problem with it feeding multiple...
Strengths: Fast speed. Easy setup. USB connectivity.
Weakness: On/off switch. Unusual parallel connectivity.
Overall very happy with this printer so far. Set up was went very smoothly, got the printer up and running in minutes. Very impressed with the 20 pages per minute. My last printer was the HP 1100, notorious for its top-loading paper feed which jammed frequently. The 1300 is a great improvement with its paper tray. The one thing that I did prefer on the 1100 was that when not in use, it went into...
Strengths: Fast printing, fairly easy to set up. Very durable.
Weakness: Lack of traditional parallel port. Thank god for the USB. Wouldn't mind LAN capabilities to plug into router.
I've owned the HP LaserJet 1200 for about a year and I like that printer quite a bit. It's small, clean and fast. However, it was annoying to print envelopes and small cards (3in x 3in). When shopping for a new printer, I was going to purchase another 1200 but by then, the 1300 had come out. A major plus that the 1300 offers over the 1200 is the flexibility in different types of media it can...
Strengths: Compact, fast and easy to set up
Weakness: Haven't found any... yet
We had the HP 1300 out of the box and printing in no time; very user-friendly and easy to install. This compact printer is a work-horse; we have it networked and use it to full capacity everyday--the 20 ppm is fast. No jamming problems to date or pulling of multiple pages. Would recommend to anyone looking for a high-end, desktop printer.
Strengths: 20 pages per minute now! Big leap over the laserjet 1200 at roughly the same price range.
Weakness: crappy IEEE 1284 port that HP trys to force people to buy their special cable. Luckly this has USB as an option to use.
This is great if you are using it for USB connectivity or else you have to buy HP's proprietary cables to fit their IEEE 1384 port. If you have an old PC with no USB ports and no addon USB cards I would advise you to remember you need to buy their special $15+ cable to use this guy. Overall a strong printer that seems to have their old feeding problems fixed.
Strengths: When it's working, it's fast, easy to use, print is good quality
Weakness: "Film" on the "fuser" roll ripped 90 days after purchase (new) - all paper fed in comes out crinkled.
"Film on "fuser" roll ripped 90 days after purchased new - all paper fed in comes out crinkled. It's still under warranty but that means shipping it off to HP and getting it back 2 months from now (if I'm lucky). Printer is used every day for business and I can't do without it for that long. So, I have to pay a repair person to fix!!! Very disappointed in HP. ;-(
Strengths: Great print quality and very fast!
Weakness: None
This HP Laserjet 1300 (Q1334A) black and white printer is excellent! I did a great deal of research prior to purchase and I decided on the HP over the Brother. I don't have any regrets and would highly recomment this printer.
Strengths: speed and print quality
Weakness: a little noisy
I am very satisfied with this printer! It's fast, the print quality is great, and I got a good deal. If you're looking for a quality printer that is reasonably priced, this is the printer for you.
Strengths: Good Product for 1 to 2 users
Weakness: I see no weakness if it the recommended user use the product
HP printers are excellent products to use. The company honors the warranty. After that, maintenance is not that expensive. Toner Cartridges can be brought anywhere for this product also.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) LaserJet 1300 Laser Printer -...
Strengths: Great quality.
Weakness: Nothing at all.
I just upgraded from an HP-1200 series to this HP-1300 printer, and I'm extremely pleased. I loved my 1200 series printer, but HP actually managed to make some improvements with this machine. Specifically, it's slightly quicker and runs even quieter. I use my printer a great deal to print long manuscripts, so I really need one with these qualities. The only possible debit is that the printer is...
