Mine stunk right out of the box and I had to return it. It's quite large and makes a horrific amount of noise. It's very complicated to figure out how to put the device together, and there were many mistakes made in doing so.
Strengths: Simplicity! Price and HP reputation

Hey, only Elizabeth Hurley gets 5 stars! Researched color lasers/LEDs/solid ink printers for two weeks. HP 2500L kept popping up for value, production and simplicity. It's only been up for 2 days but I've run several hundered pages through and, as a non-graphics, graphics guy (just my own stuff), it's been spot on. Still use the ink jet for photos but this thing is great for brochures and flyers!...
Breaking the magic price barrier of $1,000, HP has done an amazing job with the Color LaserJet 2500L. Its combination of crisp, clean laser output and PostScript support means that small workgroups with big printing needs can finally get the benefits of color-laser technology without putting too large a dent in their budgets.

Strengths: Print quality is great. Excellent value.
Weakness: Warm up is a little noisy
After working with slow ink jet printers for years, this laser printer is quick. The print quality is excellent. It is a bit noisy on start up. For the price, the HP Color Laserjet is a great value. I did purchase the optional 250 sheet feeder tray. It's worth it. The standard feed tray just doesn't "cut it", and is rather awkward.
