Strengths: Very easy to set-up and work with plus a great quality.
I recomand this printer to all of you that wants a printer for you company with a light printing duty or simply a home office or a home laser printer. It's so easy to work with and price is just unbeatable.
Strengths: Fast printing
Weakness: USB only connectivity, no funtional buttons
After only a few shorts months of using this printer, I'm getting an error message on the screen about the defuser not functioning. After trying the website and speaking to HP directly, I found out I have to send the whole printer back to HP to have the defuser replaced, and I will have to cover the shipping costs. It's unusual for an HP product to fail like this, but I believe this to be one of...
Strengths: Reliable paper feeding (unlike certain previous HP models), good print quality
Weakness: Design requires unloading of paper to print envelopes, offers USB connectivity only
I used an hp 1000 in my law practice as a limited-use personal printer for about two months and I was generally pleased with it. So when I needed a replacement printer for a small network in my wholesale business I bought one. For reasons that were not apparent from the limited law practice use, I came to regret this decisions. First, I learned that there is no way to feed an envelope without...
Strengths: relatively inexpensive speed good quality prints HP - great support, not difficult to find replacement toner
Weakness: $85 replacement cartridges
This is a great printer, that I got on offer. I was looking to replace my HP inkjet, because it was giving me problems. I don't mind the fact that there's no color - the speed and B&W quality makes up for it by far. This is a great printer. Installation was very simple, USB plug and play at its best. The footprint is not as large as other laser printers out there. It is also very quiet, MUCH...
Strengths: Good speed and print quality.
Weakness: Continuing issues with connectivity.
When the machine works, it works well. However, I have found that at least under WinXP the connectivity with USB remains an ongoing problem. I suspect that disconnecting and reconnecting the machine repeatedly has caused or contributed to these issues. However, the bottom line is caveat emptor for this machine if you expect to connect via USB, especially if you switch between different computers...
Strengths: Cheap, fast, high quality, long lasting cartridge, USB, web support.
Weakness: none
great value! I received a used Laserjet 1000 about 6 month ago. it had a used cartridge. I don't know how long it was in use before I got it but I still use the same cartridge! and I print 5-20 pages per day. even when the cartridge is done it is only $50 to get a new one, cheaper then most competitors. most recomanded.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) LaserJet 1000 Laser Printer -...
Strengths: Replaced my Epson with this printer. The Hp was Cheap I got mine for 150.00. The epson toner alone cost over 125.00 and the epson rollers dryed 1yr. So a printer/toner for 150 great. Prints great.
Weakness: I guess if you have to print envelopes you have to use the bottom tray. Ive never used envelopes. This is for home and all I need is clean prints and it works great.
For 150.00 I get a new printer with drivers for new operating systems and a new toner. If I kept my Epson 1500, toner would have costs me 125.00+ and the rollers dried up after the first year. Also the drivers for my epson were not available for newer operating systems. What I like about hp is they keep the drivers uptodate and available on their web site. So far this printer has been flawless....
