Strengths: Great color laser printing for a reletively small cost. Software easy to set up. It prints great on just plain paper.
Weakness: Heavy! A little difficult to understand the "putting-together" part. It takes a little while to print the first page (doesn't bother me though).

Strengths: Color laser, duplexing comes standard. Networking seems to work well. Web interface is ok.
Weakness: Can't check the status of the consumables from the web interface. Takes a few minutes to warm up when you print the first page of the day.
I've been using this printer for about a month. The text output is very sharp. I've printed photographs on it and they came out ok. The color was close, but not quite right. A great printer for networks. Duplex printing included A must purchase for all offices. The printer was easy to set up and maintain. all colors reliably reproduced for brochures and patient related materials.
Strengths: Fast. Decent color reproduction.
Weakness: 43lb paper weight limit.
Overall a decent printer. Fast and reasonably quiet. Color rendition is decent. Samsung does not mention the 43lb paper weight limit on their site. Be warned if you want to do any printing on cardstock, spend more money.

I bought the Samsung 550N from Upgrade Source (shop.upgradesource.com) and after my first few prints I am very happy. I bought the 550N because the 500 is now going out of production (or already has). The 510N is not a PS printer and the 550N is. I got the networked version ("N") because I have more than one computer and am tired of only being able to print when the "host" computer is on to allow...
