Strengths: Inexpensive Color Laser Printer | Built-in Ethernet Port | Option to use Larger Monochrome Toner | Small Size
Weakness: Slow printing (4ppm color!) | Small Toner Cartridges | Very small paper tray (150 sheets of paper) | No paper tray upgrades available
The Samsung CLP-300N is one of the cheapest color laser printers available that comes with an Ethernet connection built in, making networking the printer a cinch! The footprint of this printer is small, measuring just 10.4 x 15.4 x 13.5, ensuring placement won't be an issue even in the most cramped of environments. Unfortunately, this is where the honeymoon ends. The print quality of this printer...
Strengths: Mac wireless network able, somewhat simple to setup and flawless. Also works with other PC's.
Weakness: You get what you pay for, this is LOW priced Color Laser. But Samsung has a winner.
Read the reviews by some of the big guys, they point out the shortcomings (minimal, IMHO). I tossed way too many ink-jet printers because the get minimal usage- but when I'd turn to ANY of them, they were CLOGGED beyond reasonable repair (cheaper to buy another) but you still get stuck with the pricey consumables... This was an impulse cause I saw only one left at a well priced retailer. Took it...
Strengths: price
Weakness: none for the price
These were selling for $100-120 after rebates on black friday. A little while ago stores were selling HP 1600 for $100 after rebates. The reason I went with this over HP is because I thought these could be refilled for almost nothing. Well, it turns out that toners cost quite a bit for this one HP could have been a better choice for me.
Strengths: Not bulky, low noise and great color.
Weakness: Uses a lot of power and the power switch is on the back. The toner packs are too small.
Well after a long search, this was the winner of price vs quality fight. A local office superstore had two models I was eying, an HP 1600 and this one. They seemed pretty similar in most regards until dropped the CLP-300 100 dollars below the HP. It was time to grab the bargain. This is the first Samsung laser printer I have in my home office now. I was afraid to try the Samsung CLP-300 because...
Strengths: Very compact, fast printing, good printing quality
Weakness: a little noisy, just a little
I like this printer very much, mainly because it is so compact as color laser one. The priting is fast and the printing quality is well acceptable. Only thing is that it tends to make some noise. But I guess this is common on all printers. Overall, a great buy!
Strengths: Printer is not too large, color and B&W printing
Weakness: Color is not as true, high quality as I thought it would be
This is a good basic color printer. However, when printing pictures from the internet, I found the color not to be exact, and not as true a color, in fact it appeared somewhat faded/lighter than what was being printed. HOWEVER, for documents with contain color graphs etc, this is all you need. Samsung makes quality printers, and we have purchased Samsung many times.
THE GOOD: Compact; decently fast black text prints; toner canisters are easy to swap out. THE BAD: Slow at all but black text prints; print quality could use a lot of improvement. THE BOTTOM LINE: The tiny Samsung CLP-300 color laser printer is a good bargain for those with very basic print needs. If you need more from your printer, youll have to spend a little more money.

The CLP-300N won't thrill anyone with its unexceptional print quality, but it's small and inexepensive.

A bargain buy
Strengths: Speed, cost, quality
Weakness: lack of required usb cable
Just bought this from PrinterBase.co.uk, who were excellent. It was easy to set up, though there is no hardcopy manual supplied, the setup sheet is pretty straightforward. There is however, a full users guide on the drive CD so if you are at all unsure, it's worth reading that before setting up. Took me no more than 10 minutes to get it out the box, setup, driver installed and printing. Quality...
