This is newer type of Canon ink cartridge which comes with printhead on it. Quite more expensive than similar types from other companies. It doesn't seem to be designed for refill but I think that's possible. The old one I have didn't report capacity accurately. I know it's still ink inside but the software says it's empty already. It seems to run out faster than the older 3 yellow, magnetta,...

These cartridges and the associated printer are great. Unfortunately while the printer is cheap, the cartridges aren't, and they don't seem to last too long either. I'd recommend these to anybody with low volume high quality print requirements only.

I have been impressed with my Canon printer and a lot has to do with the ink. The pictures come out clear and installation of the cartridges is easy. I would recommend a Canon printer to anyone and you cant go wrong with this ink. Its cheaper than Dell and HP replacements and the printer is better than similiar models of said brands.

I used that for my MP160, a low budget AIO which I used mainly for color picture printing. I tried to use a re-manufactured ink or refill by myself, but none was comparable with the original canon. there is really not much to say about quality cause it is canon. but the price is too expensive. I did my owe calculation, I printed out 80 pictures (8*11), the ink was almost done. 2500 cents/80=32...

The Canon CL-41 Color Cartridge produces quality print jobs in either photo or document formats. Installation is a breeze with my Canon printer. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Canon line of ink cartridges.
Strengths: Relatively realistic color reproduction
Weakness: Doesn't last very long
I use the CL-41 in the Canon Pixma ip1600 - a low budget color printer. The ink cartridge works well but does not last anywhere close to the rated 500 pages in my experience. Colors start looking weird when cartridge starts to run low but is not yet empty.
Strengths: Arrived quickly as ordered. Looks like it is genuine part.
Weakness: Did not get automatic email confirmation product was on its way. Wish the cartridge would last a bit longer when printing many photos.
Tried re-filling the old cartridge. Because you have to fill 3 different holes with 3 different colors in exactly the right place it is a real pain. Be careful some advertisers on other sites are for cartridges and some listings on other sites for different cartridges look to be re-fill kits.

I bought a brand new cartridge for $25 and it ran out of ink after printing only 29 pages! Wow, that comes out to nearly a dollar per page! That's hard on the pocketbook. I would not recommend this product. It's way too expensive for printing such few pages.
