Weakness: A little more expensive than the generics, but worth the few extra dollars.
We have been extremely pleased with our Samsung ML-1430 laser printer and the toner cartridges we have purchased have lasted longer than any of the HP cartridges we use. This is our 4th cartridge in the last 3 years.

If quality prints are your goal, I would replace the printer drum with each toner replacement, as recommended by Samsung. I have tried refurburished cartridge replacements but have seen faint striation lines caused by the use of an old drum with the new non-OEM toner.

This toner works great in my printer, it usually lasts me a little over a year. I use the toner save mode often, which does reduce the toner usage. I have over 15,000 pages on my printer, and have never had trouble with this toner cartridge. This is my fifth or sixth (I can't remember exactly) purchase of this toner cartridge for my 4 year old printer. I say I get about 3,000 pages with every cartridge.
I have never used anything but Samsung brand toner. Even though the toner is more expensive than a single inkjet cartridge, it is much cheaper in the long run. If most of your printing is in black and white, a laser with today's low prices is the way to go.

Strengths: I would say price, but then, if the item isn't in stock, it's a moot point, really.
Weakness: Poor communication.
Ordered a printer cartridge in Dec 2007. It arrived a week or so later. In Feb, when it was time to open the box and use it, realized that it was the incorrect item. Sent retailer an email and got a response in a day or so. They sent me a return shipment label and said they would have to see the item before they would send me the correct one, so had to go out and find a box. Finally got it in the mail to them a week or so later. Then ... nothing. 2 weeks later, sent them an email asking for a response or I would pursue formal methods to get a refund. Log on this morning and have received an email telling me that the item I need is out of stock, along with a refund through paypal. And of course, paypal takes their cut. So I'm out the $1.29 and a month. My question is, why would a reputable retailer not tell me that they don't have the item in stock a month ago when this issue arose? I wouldn't have been waiting those weeks with no printer cartridge -- I would have purchased it from another place. And if they didn't have it, why wouldn't they just order one in preparation for the return of the incorrect item? Did they not have it to begin with and that's why I got the wrong item? Poor business. Suggest you shop elsewhere.
