Color - 20 ppm Mono - 5 ppm Color - USB - PC - MPN: 5250220100
Strengths: excellent price. good qality printing.
Weakness: picture printing is not that good.
I got this one for an excellent price. This printer is one of the faster four-pass color lasers.
It is bulky printer, weighs about 50 lbs.
A ery low price, good performance, and reasonably good output makes it a an ideal choice for at least personal use.
I've set it up against my desktop PC and shared it and now I can print on this printer from any of my other laptop.

TopStrengths: The price. We found one for ~$200 and they're easily available around $300. Print quality for the money.
Weakness: Can be slow and noisy. Paper handling.
For the money this a very good color printer. The toner is costly, but has good capacity and you can get a fairly low cost per printout.
The printer does not have a built-in network port, but it works fine for me on our office network. We just set it to share on the machine it's connected to... have not tried it on a network print server hub.
I like the rotate toner function. The software that comes with it seems a little quirky.

TopStrengths: Print Quality is good. Decent price for a Laser printer.
Weakness: picture printing is not that good, large footprint, heavy as heck.
This color laser printer works great and the price is acceptable. Overall, this is a pretty good printer. This is not a large scale network printer, but for the price, it's speed, print quality, efficiency, and small scale ability make it a great choice for many looking for the benefits of laser.
it's bulky and heavy

TopI don't understand this review. This User states:
1; print quality is good, & picture quality is not that good???
2; large footprint/bulky/heavy & efficient/small scale???
Did this User actually buy this printer? Has this User ever seen/used a laser printer before?
Strengths: Inexpensive. Fast performance for a four-pass design. Impressively easy setup. Excellent text quality.
Weakness: photos and graphics are less than the best quality available from a color laser printer
Great print quality and quick speed make it terrific for home use and my small office. The manual feed for envelopes and single sheets keeps it from being a 10 in my book.

TopStrengths: Fast, crisp prints, good photo quality too!
Weakness: Draws lots of power..
I've read lots of reviews on this printer.. So, I was expecting poor photo quality.. To my surprise, full page photo prints are absolutely beautiful.. Maybe it is becuase my camera is half way decent.. Don't let the bad reviews scare ya.. These people that are complaining about the photo quolity just aren't good photographers and/or their cameras must be low quality.. The prints are comparable to the 8X10 prints that Walgreens made for me.. This printer is fabulous!! The signs and flyers are soooo bright, vivid and colorful.. I only paid 200 bucks for it at Staples and I can't be more pleased.. I'm done with ink jet printers for ever!!!!

TopStrengths: Print quality is great. Like the feature of "always on" but in an idle state to conserve energy.
Weakness: A little noisy on initial startup, but nothing severe. Having trouble finding a compatible wireless USB print server. Could be that it's just too new to have drivers, though.
I'm very pleased with the printer overall. I had two printers previously, a b&w laserjet and a color inkjet. Doing the calculations on consumables, I found the cost much less per page for the Magicolor. I own a technology consulting company and we use two at the office and have had exceptional reliability. Highly recommend any of the Magicolor printers.

TopStrengths: decent quality, relatively small-sized with color printing function
Weakness: same weakness as most laser color printing machines: expensive toner
I purchased this printer from staples for less than 200 bucks, which is a great bargain. Overall the printer is pretty decent, the quality is very good. If you can get such a bargain, go for it and you won't regret.

TopStrengths: Great price, decent quality.
Weakness: Toner is expensive.
This printer is a great deal. The toner, however, is not. It costs around twice as much as that of comparable laser printers. Other than that, this is an awesome printer for the price.

TopStrengths: Inexpensive. Fast performance for a four-pass design. Impressively easy setup. Excellent text quality. spectable, if not ideal, graphic and photo output. GOOD PRINTER AT a desect price, decent quality, relatively small-sized with color printing function.
Weakness: The ratings for photos and graphics are less than the best quality available from a color laser. As all other printers the same problem, inks are too expensive I hate that in printers.
The 2400W is excellent for text, with most fonts easily readable. Graphics quality is at the high end of good, with only minor issues, including mild visible dithering. Photos is in a good rating, flawed primarily by loss of detail in light areas. Overall, the output is just one step below the best available in color lasers.
The Konica Minolta magicolor 2400W drops the entry cost for color laser printing to its lowest level yet, while offering good to excellent output quality and better performance than most four-pass color lasers. More important, it strikes a winning balance among speed, output quality, and price.

TopStrengths: Inexpensive, impressive quality
Weakness: Very slow, noisy. Poor colour photograph quality. Constant computer crashes. Useless Konica Minolta help
I wanted a color laser printer for a long time and finally stumbled on this one at Sam's Club for $188. Color graphics look terrific, far better than inkjet. The low price and picture quality more than make up for the drawbacks which are:
it's bulky and heavy
it's loud and makes clunking noises. I haven't had a printer this loud since the first days of computing when we used to put plastic shields around the printers. It makes several high pitched whining noises while warming up and loud clunking noises while printing.
I expected faster color printing than this--can't give you any specifics but it doesn't seem to be any faster than my inkjet. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic.
anyhow, I DON'T MUCH CARE BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY $188. I love it, warts and all.
and yes, I know that replacing the cartridges will cost me an arm and a leg, but that is true for any printer, isn't it?

TopStrengths: Print Quality is good. Cheap.
Weakness: Cannot be used on a network.
How in the world can somebody build a printer that cannot be used on a network? The phone rep spent 30 minutes with me and did not know that their product cannot be used on a network! I only found out after doing a google search to find a solution to the problem. I took it back to the store and spent a few extra dollars for the HP.

TopStrengths: Printing is pretty fast and the quality is decent.
Weakness: Bretty big and toner is expensive.
I bought this printer 2 weeks ago and used it couple times for color printing. Since it is the first laser color printer I own, I don't have much comparison. Anyway, I think it is a pretty good printer for color print, especially comparing with my old inkjet color printer. Toner is expensive. but if you won't use too much color printing, I think it will be ok.

TopStrengths: 1st printer printed clearly; had good graphics; cartridges easy to change. 2nd one not printing well (ghosts, smudges) Need to report it to see if support is as good as printer.
Weakness: If speed of output is important, that may be a problem for owner; also it's a bit noisy. Neither of these items are issues for me. Color cartridges are expensive.
We are happy with this printer because it serves our purposes well. It has created great output for us; the color blend options are good; it's easy to install and to use. I expect our second printer which we received 3 weeks ago will perform as well as the first as soon as we can have it repaired - a problem that can happen whatever the brand or model.

TopStrengths: inexpensive
Weakness: toner spills onto paper. Paper jams at least once
Invest in a unit of higher quality. I never can count on this printing, especially when I really need it to pull through. My 1993 HP monolaser is so reliable, this has been a total letdown.

TopStrengths: Color Quality is excellent
Weakness: I have had printer over year and only been able to print 1700 pages with my printer. Printer shuts me down at least twice a week with Paper Jam error message... No jam exists.
This has become such a problem I have switched back to my ink jet printer. I am a small business and can't continune to spend hours working to get a handful of color pages printed. I have been unable to get any response from Company after many many tries. I would not recommend purchase of this product.

TopStrengths: Initial low cost. Easy setup. Good color picture. Though the toner cartridges seem expensive the cost per page is less expensive than ink jet. Faster than inkjet too.
Weakness: Bad quality of manufacturing. No extension of warranty when a warranty repair is done. Noisy as heck. The graphic display that shows the toner cartridge being empty is not accurate.
This is my 4th replacement. The first stopped working by making a terrible grinding sound. The second and third had fuser jams which required replacement. The last fuser jam occurred before I could use up the first set of toner cartridge. This is not good, in my opinion. This is downtime which is not good for a business.
Although Konica-Minolta has been fair with replacement and delivery and extremely good with telephone tech support, I question whether I would stick with them next time I'm in the market for a color laser printer--it is one thing to get excellent replacement service and telephone tech support but it is another thing when it is needed for what seems like inferior design.
Perhaps they make their profit from selling toner cartridge and extended warranties?
In fairness, my experience with owning color laser printers is limited only to this. For the cost maybe this is what is expected?

TopStrengths: Fast. Software shows cumulative pages printed. Good print quality.
Weakness: Lights in house flicker a bit when it's not in energy saver mode. I found that very odd. Some small patchy areas where the color is dropped.
I just got this printer today and was deciding whether to go for the $250 HP 2600N or this one for an amazing $149.95 after rebates. Wow! that price was so low I decided it was "almost" disposable after a few years. Anyway, one of the neatest features was software that tracks the number of copies printed over time.
As others have said, the printer is a bit clunky and noisy, lacking that smoothness other printers have but it gets the job done. I have expreienced a few small areas in the red printing where the color is missing. Not enough to bother me but enough to make the printing less than perfect.
I'm hoping that maybe there is just some packing dust in it and that it will clear up.
Overall, I'm very satisfied. No real complaints allthough I would like to find out why my lights flicker a bit when it's on.

TopStrengths: good price, good quality
Weakness: Toner are expensive to replace
I can not complain more compared to the money I spend. Good quality especially in text. But not good at images/photos. Toners are expensive but the capacity is reasonable. I recommended this printer.

TopStrengths: print quality
Weakness: noisy while printing
This printer is bulky and noisy in printing. But at the price of less than $200, I would accept it.
Both B/W & Color printing quality are decent. Printing is fast too!
I had no problem to share this printer on my desktop PC and printed from my laptop through networking. Although I did encounter a problem to get the driver from my desktop PC to my laptop and I ended up installing the driver from the printer's software CD to my laptop.

TopStrengths: good value, nice quality
Weakness: large footprint, heavy as heck
this printer is one of the best values out there. color laser for $250 after rebate is as low as it's going to get. that being said, it's a huge monster, prepare to take up a corner of the room just for this. quite a bit noisy as well, but that's not a big issue.

TopStrengths: Quality prints
Weakness: Quite loud when printing
I've been very pleased with the quality of the prints from this machine. It's not the speediest color printer but has much better quality than an inkjet. It is quite loud when printing but in standby mode it is completely silent. Overall, a nice printer for the money.

TopStrengths: Great price, decent quality.
Weakness: Cannot be used on a network.Too big .It's loud and makes clunking noises.
This color laser printer works great and the price is acceptable. Overall, this is a pretty good printer.I like it sharp and bright color. But you need to consider seriously about the expense. This is not a large scale network printer, but for the price, it's speed, print quality, efficiency, and small scale ability make it a great choice for many looking for the benefits of laser.

TopStrengths: Good color and print speed
Weakness: Too big , expensive accessory
This color laser printer works great and the price is acceptable. Overall, this is a pretty good printer. The drawback I think is the cost for accessories and it is a little bit heavy.

TopStrengths: This is a great printer for home/home office use. Warm up time is quick, pages come out fast, and quality is good. Text quality is excellent.
Weakness: The Printer is well packaged, but the documentation is a little poor.
Like an inkjet printer,it's small enough to fit on any desktop and is very easy to use.The printer prints great, but not as good as my old Epson Stylus Color 900 ink jet did on special paper. However, the speed and, hopefully, the cost per image will make up for this.

Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W Laser Printer
Strengths: Decent price for this quality color laser printer. Small size for this much functionality
Weakness: Cartridges are expensive and run out fast.
Its size really surprised me at the first day it arrived my home, it is a monster. But after my research a little bit about all other color laser printers, I found I have already got the smallest and best one for my home office.
Its print quality is very good, I like it sharp and bright color. But you need to consider seriously about the expense,
since the cartridge is kind of expensive and for color printer you need to buy 4 cartridge instease of 1 black.

Since the cartridges run about $125 (or more) each, and there are 4 cartridges, just buy an extra whole printer (especially if you get it for under $250) and you will pay less then $65 for each cartridge, and you'll have a backup printer if the one you are using fails.
