Weakness: High price and lower paper printing
It comes from HP. The printing quality is better the one I used from 3rd party manufacturer. The packaging design is fine. And the price is still high the Generic one. Hope HP can decrease price step by step.

Weakness: Expensive
I have purchased generic/refill toner cartridges before and have bad experiences --- sometimes they have poorer print quality and sometimes they break. Therefore, I usually opt to purchase the real thing from HP. Even though they are more expensive, I do not have to worry about the quality of the generic cartridges. However, if you are able to find a good generic cartridge that works for your printer, that is probably the way to go.

TopStrengths: Good overall price, seems to work as expected
Weakness: No instructions included, no recycling.
I thought I bought a new cartridge but it was a remanufacture. It seems to work like a new one. Even ink distribution, no smudges, will have to see over time

TopStrengths: Fits several HP Laser Jet Models: 1000, 1005, 1200, 1220, 3300 & 3380.

Original HP Toner - Excellent quality, and lasts a long time. The cost of this toner cartridge is less than the purchase of the 6x ink cartridges needed for my Epson. Likewise, I typically get approximately 9-12+ months out of my HP toner cartridge in regular household use, as well as school work, whereby it seems like I have to replace ink in my Epson every month or two. A great value.

TopStrengths: smudgeproof, very crisp/clear/dark printing, will never dry out during non-use
Weakness: pretty large investment up front
This is my second cartridge I am on (the 1st came with the printer). I've owned my printer for 3 1/2 to 4 years now and needed a new cartridge only 2 months ago. I am a student and print lecture slides daily, as well as research papers and articles. So I definitely use the toner on a regular basis. I highly recommend the investment - it's well worth it.

Genuine HP cartridge
Strengths: Reliable. Excellent printout.
Weakness: Expensive. Low recycle value.
This toner cartridge works great in an HP Laserjet 1200. Quality of the print is excellent with very sharp edges when texts are printed. It is more expensive than generic or recycled cartrdges. Several cartrdge recyclers buy an empty cartrge at a minimal price.
