Weakness: More expensive than generic brands. No recycling by Brother.
This is a genuine Brother cartridge. We use it for a network printer HL1670N. The printer was heavily used by more than 10 people, but the cartidge caused almost no problem. Brother does not include a return shipping label for used cartidge, so used cartidges need to be recycled through a third party or simply disposed.

Weakness: inaccurate "toner low" message
We experimented with a generic cartridge the last go round and the print quality was noticibly inferior to genuine Brother catridges. Sprecifically, they tended to smear on occasion. We sprung for another genuine Brother cartridge and it is a joy to have back. The only quibble we ever had with their performance is that at least some of them tend to give "low toner" messages when there is still plenty of toner. We got the Brother to replace a way more expensive HP because the print yield was nearly twice what HP was. Thats plenty of savings-we'll never try to save money with generics again.

Very long lasting cartridge resulting in very low per-page cost. The print quality is excellent and reliable. I have no complaints about this toner cartridge, or the printer it goes along with, both of which are excellent.

We have purchased at least 18 of these toners for work, just in the last year or so, and have never had one break down or produce bad prints before the empty toner indication. This toner is cost effective when compared to the TN530, and if you search can probably find a competitive price to compatible brand cartridges, without risk of voiding your warranty!

Weakness: Just the price. But you get what you pay for.
This toner cartridge gives fine contrast and helps all your work look very professional. It also lasts for thousands of pages. While the acquisition cost per cartridge is high, the cost per page is very low; just a couple of pennies. Best of all, Brother products are uniformly high quality and you don't need to worry about lousing up your printer with ink spilled from a reloaded or generic cartridge.

This is the standard, Brother manufactured toner cartridge TN-560, installed in my Brother HL-5070N network laser printer. Installation is straight-forward and simple. There have been no surprises. It does what it is supposed to do.

Great Product
Strengths: High yield, easy to install, great price, great quality
Weakness: None, unless you want color printing
I bought a refurb Brother HL-5050 laser printer over 3 years ago for a great price and I couldn't be happier. Sure, I had to give up color prints, but I rarely miss them. The printer came with a TN530 cartridge which lasted for over a year of college, work, and personal printing. I print a whole lot, so that's a remarkable amount of time. When I chose to get a refill, I opted for the TN560 because it's about twice the toner for about a 20% difference in price. Once again, flawless performance that lasted me for over 2 years and still has yet to run out or fade. I've never used refill kits or generic brands to compare this to, but I'm definitely satisfied with the performance and durability of brother printers and supplies.
