Weakness: everything. paper feed issues, the gears grind, the carriage actually hits the eject arms and gets bound up.
this thing has been nothing but headaches. the poor girls I have using it call me 3 times a day with problems. the ejector arms have been broken off from the carriage hitting, paper feed jams constantly..
i don't recommend this thing at all.
I have had nothing but problems with hp in the last 2 years - their printers were the only thing they had going in my book. Now they've lost me with them as well.

TopI agree this printer is just a pile of junk. It takes 4 minutes to start to print an A4 photograph. Anything with graphics on it is impossible. The additional memory may help matters but I cannot get a straight answer from HP if this will solve the problem. They said to return it...
Strengths: Cheap cartridges
Weakness: Pictures are printed correctly only byselecting Best quality, forget about using normal mode. That makes printing really slow. No good response from HP at all.
At first, normal mode can be used, but once it fails, only Best quality mode will give you complete pictures, despite on resolution.. I mean, complete! So a high volume printer can not be that slow! Really bad response from HP. Plus it has been returned twice for service.

Strengths: Overall design and quality

1 month ago I would have given this printer a 10 now a 4 due to HP wisdom of not trusting anyone. All 4 of my printers ink cartridges stopped working due to a expiration chip that timed out, this cost me the price of a new printer. I'm very upset at the lack of trust HP has towards it consumers and I would advise staying away from this product. So do your self a favor and run a search on the web about the chips found in the ink cartridges and the pitfalls that others have ran across if I would have read about them prior to buying the printer from HP I would have gone with another brand.
