HP (Hewlett-Packard) LaserJet 3500N Printer

Strengths: Great reliability, easy setup, good print quality, fairly fast and well.... I just love it!

Weakness: It's only true weakness is its size, but that doesn't really matter once you have it setup. Also, the print server is external. I would like it if were internal.

Absolutely great product. I had purchased a Ricoh Aficio CL3000 and it was a POS. Broke from day one and the service people were not very helpful. Basically I have to fight not to "eat" $900!
Then I purchased this printer. What a difference! Product design was much better and quality is absolutely uncompairable. Easy to use, setup, run, and it looks cool too!
The only downside is the size of the thing, but I really don't think that is a big deal once you get it in place. The print server is external, but I don't think that these "downsides" are comparable to the quality product you are getting! Buy it! You won't be disappointed! HP ROCKS!

LaserJet 3500N

Strengths: Excellent quality output, including photos printed on color laser printer paper for reports; relatively easy set-up.

Weakness: None really except perhaps the size.

When I last looked at color laser printers, they were still in the $2,000 price range. The ones available now for under $1,000 seem quite amazing. This model had apparently been in the $1,000 range but pricing has dropped since HP has come out with a newer model. Consequently, it is a real steal at the current (sub-$500) pricing that I have seen. There are other makes that might seem to offer more or claim better colors, but I have owned several HP printers in the past and really have confidence in the brand.

Hp LaserJet 3500N Laser Printer

Strengths: price, quality, design, software, ease of use.

Weakness: Initial set difficulties, service, hp website,

The story is similar, but not quite as good. On all types of paper, the photos are crisp and clear. My test 3.5 mega pixel color photos, from a Canon EOS D30, printed with excellent detail on any kind of paper. However, using top-grade glossy paper makes them almost shine. Note that I said "almost". The matte feel of these pictures, even when printed on high-gloss paper, will not please top-line photo inkjet owners. At the same time, I have computed that each photo I printed costs about $ 0.50 each. A top-line photo inkjet costs about $2 per sheet. I recommend trying either a glossy laser paper, such as HP's Soft Gloss Laser Paper, or HP's Premium Choice LaserJet paper. The latter is 32lb paper with 98% brightness and really makes your documents and photos look stunning. Since it's not glossy, it matches better with the matte photos this printer prints. It is also much cheaper than glossy paper. If you want to impress people, it's well worth the $15-odd per ream it costs. Note that glossy paper made for inkjets cannot withstand the heat generated by laser printers. That's why you can buy laser paper and inkjet paper; they are completely different animals and must not be confused.

HP LaserJet 3500N review

Strengths: Color, cheap, HP quality

Weakness: A little on the slow side with color printing

This is a great COLOR laser printer from HP. It's very reasonably priced (under $400) for a color printer and I've never had a problem with HP's techical support in the past with their other printers that I purchased. While it's a little slow printing in color, as soon as you switch to black and white, it prints very fast. Overall, worth the money for sure.

LaserJet 3500N Laser Printer (12 PPM, 600x600 DPI,...

Strengths: Works great

Weakness: none

This printer produces beautiful prints in color and is blazingly fast.Overall, this is a great printer that produces amazing results in the highest resolution settings. The price is right, and the fact that it is network ready is a definite plus.I would definitely recommend this printer.

Way Better than the LEXMARK C510

Strengths: Single pass printer, great colour. Ships with 4000 pg toners. Easy to use paper trays. Doesn't curl card stock or weld envelopes shut.

Weakness: TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO huge. Its a bit big!!!

I was interested in this printer because I wanted to print both photographs and PDF instruction manuals for software. If you print a lot, or just want fast output, this is for you. The printer, like most things nowadays, was made in China. I guess that's what we pay for a price breakthrough such as this. I have to say that the Chinese plant knows how to build things right. Assembly quality seemed several notches above my LaserJet 4. Controls have a very nice crisp feel, and the paper try slides in and out smoothly without the jittery feel of older LaserJets

Solid Color Laser

Strengths: Great Color, durable, easy to use.

Weakness: It is quite large

The machine will not dissappoint. Color is crisp, easy to use. The biggest draw back is that it is a rather large machine and the color cartidges are expensive.

Great overall printer

Color LaserJet 3500n

Over the past year, prices have dropped to the point where it's now feasible to consider color laser printing for homes and small offices. We looked at six color laser printers priced at around $1,000: Brother's HL-2700CN, Hewlett-Packard's Color LaserJet 3500n, Konica Minolta's magicolor 2350en, Lexmark's C510n, Oki Data's C5300N, and Xerox's Phaser 8400/B.
