1 Cartridge, Black, 2000 Pages - MPN: Q2612A
Strengths: Great prints.
Weakness: NA
The HP LaserJet Q2612A ultraprecise print cartridge makes great prints with a really "ultraprecise" quality. I have used for a very short term so I cannot judge the durability of the cartridge. But its great start reveals a good operation life.

TopStrengths: Good quality, sharp printouts
Weakness: Price
This is a high quality genuine HP cartridge. HP makes some of the most reliable equipment out there. The cartridge is definitely more expensive that some others but you get what you pay for.

TopStrengths: Faster then an ink jet. Prints are also cheaper per page.
Weakness: Slow to respond sometimes to print commands.
A fantastic little laser printer. It does the job that I need. I print probably on an average of 50 pages a day. I have never had a problem with it.

TopStrengths: Excellent print quality. High yield (for its size). Cheaper than ink.
Weakness: Still a fairly expensive TCO when compared to larger toner cartridges.
In a previous review I made positive comments about a generic, refurb toner cartridge for the HP 1010 series printers. After experiencing the streaking and premature failure of the off-brand toner, I'm back to purchasing HP. This is still a fairly expensive system as laser printers go, but I think HP's yield estimate for this cartridge is quite conservative. I average around 6,000 sheets printing only text at 600 dpi. Best of all, the print quality remains excellent throughout the life of the cartridge.

TopStrengths: overall a good value ... no problems with the printing
Weakness: I still have to complain a little about the price
You are still getting a very solid performer for the entry level price you found on this printer. No complaints there. As for the price of the toner? .... little high, but understandable ... I'll stick with HP on this one... don't like how everything's injection molded crap nowadays

TopStrengths: One of the best ink products. Does not spill or run
Weakness: Cost too much
There is nothing like a HP toner cartridge. It always delivers the number of copies that are suggested. I would not buy a remanufactred toner cartridge as they usually spill and never give the number of copies they say they will.

TopStrengths: quality of prints, lasts longer than generics
Weakness: none
After ruining my last printer with generic cartridges, I went back to HP. I don't like the fact they always include a pre-paid UPS label to ship it back to HP. I know I am paying for it when I buy this cartridge. I'd rather take them to a local Office Depot to receive a free ream of paper (They do NOT do this all the time - see weekly advertisements). Anyway, no complaints about quality. It prints, and lasts a long time.

TopStrengths: HP1012 printer & 12A toner print FAST and GREAT Quality
Weakness: toner runs out of ink too fast
The HP1012 printer is a phenomenal personal black & white laser printer. Not only does it print fast, but it prints fantastic grayscale graphics/images. It is reliable and rugged. My only complaint is that I use it so much, that the toner runs out too fast. It would also be nice if the toner cartridge was less expensive as I use this as my primary printer.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) Q2612A Toner Cartridge
Strengths: This is an HP Genuine cartridge. If I use non-HP cartridges, I could void the waranty. Has a nice pull tab on the side of the box to open.
Weakness: HP's price. I paid $58.07 for this off Buy.com, the retail price is $69.99 which I think is insanely expensive.
This cartridge is supposed to last 2,000 pages. My previous one lasted about 2,500 pages (but I print mostly invoices which lots of white space on the paper). I hope that the extra money I'm paying for the genuine HP cartridge will help to prolong the life of the printer. I've seen some of the compatiable remanufactured cartridges spill toner all over the inside of the printer. I just wish the genuine HP cartridges were less expensive. The print outs are crisp and clean. Looks GREAT!
